Where Inspiration Lives and Color Comes Alive

As described here - The Sherwin-Williams DesignHouse for Performance Coatings Trend Forecast, published in 2019, is a collection of individual and complementary colors for utilization throughout the next 3-5 years. Connecting each of the three macro trend themes — Explore, Escape and Empower — are familiar topics examined in a new light, slowly burning while evolving, signaling a spark into the future.

I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with the Global CMF & Trend Manager of the DesignHouse, Kiki Redhead, in order to bring the inaugural trend forecast to life. I led the creative direction by creating a design system based off the deconstructed icon in the DesignHouse logo. This branding extension was based off a grid that helped us create a custom set of icons and established a consistent layout style for photography. The booklet and panel binder were distributed to industrial designers as a tool that offers "design teams the inspiration and confidence to develop products in colors, materials, effects, finishes, textures and patterns that consumers will accept and adopt."
